About These Files

“What is your blog about?” my husband asks me.

“Corporate Burnout,” I explain.

After some uncomfortable amount of awkward silence later he looks at me weird, “And???” he asks.

“And corporate burnout,” I repeat.

“Okay, but what about it? Is it solutions? How to overcome it? Stories about it?”

“Yes, it’s an honest telling of me going through it. So sometimes solutions, sometimes stories. It’s a comedy.”

“Oh, ok. Corporate burnout is pretty hilarious.”

“Exactly, and if I write under a pen name, I can tell a story that’s actually happened.”

“Oh, well you should tell people about our conversation.”

“Which conversation?”

“This conversation.”

“The one we’re having now?”

“Yea,” he answers, “This one. The one we’re having now.”

5 minutes later he knocked his fingers painfully into my laptop. Evidently trying to flick me.

P.s. I’m not going to say it’s karma… but the situation speaks for itself …

Robot Disclosure

As tempting as it is, I will not be using robots (I.e. OpenAI) to write this blog. I will take advantage of robots for imagery or social media, but I want to write something that isn’t produced by a stoic mirroring of authentic humanity. So, this is unfiltered, unrobot-ed. Untamed. Unedited (mostly). Just authentic, real, awkward, infuriating, grammatically incorrect, and maybe, relatable corporate bullshit.  That said, names, dates, and other details will be jumbled up to preserve my anonymity. K. Thx. Bye.
